The Gann 4EX Indicator System is a very good system of indicators for absolutely all traders regardless their experience level. In this article, we will learn how to install the Gann 4EX Indicator System on MetaTrader 4 and use this system of indicators to make profit.
Indicator Description
The Gann 4EX Indicator System is a tool that shows buy and sell arrows right on the MT4 chart. The signals are based on William Delbert Gann’s trading principles. The Gann 4EX System also gives us 3 TakeProfit levels in a form of colored boxes or zones (GannLowZone, GannMidZone and GannHighZone).
Gann 4EX Indicator System Installation
1. Unzip the file you’ve downloaded.
2. Go to MQL – Indicators folder.
3. Copy all 5 indicators files.
3. Open your MT4.
4. Go to “File – Open Data Folder – MQL4”.
5. Paste the files into the “Indicators” folder in MQL4.
6. Go back to the unzipped folder.
7. Go to the Templates folder.
8. Copy all 3 templates files.
9. Open your MT4 again.
10. Go to “File – Open Data Folder”.
11. Paste the files into the “Templates” folder.
12. Restart your MT4.
The indicator system will now be available under the template section that you can find on top right corner of your MetaTrader 4 platform (refer to the screenshot below). Now, select GANN1, GANN2, or GANN3 template based on your trading strategy and click on it.
After this, your trading chart will look like this:
Choice of a template
The Gann 4EX Indicator System provides three templates designed for different trading strategies:
GANN1: Fastest signals, suitable for scalping and fast day trading.
GANN2: Balanced signals, ideal for day trading and swing trading.
GANN3: Slower, more filtered signals, best for swing or position trading.
Basic Trading Signals
Using the Gann 4EX Indicator is a straightforward process:
Buy Signal
- Entry: Buy when you get a buy alert and see green TakeProfit zones on the chart.
- Stop Loss: place your stop loss at the last swing low.
- Exit: close the trade at one of the three TakeProfit zones.
Sell Signal
- Entry: Sell when you get a sell alert and see grey TakeProfit zones on the chart.
- Stop Loss: place your stop loss at the last swing high.
- Exit: close the trade at one of the three TakeProfit zones.

The indicator does not give any signal, I put it on gold which has a very good volatility since the beginning of the week (as soon as you sent it to me) without result.
Are there things to modify on the settings?
I paid attention to the installation and checked the right boxes as well as the Automatic Trading.
